MAP NOTES

What to take with you

  • Use the official level description and sample questions to set the target
  • Study language knowledge together with reading and listening
  • Track weak skills instead of counting study hours alone
01

Weeks 1–2: scripts and sentence frames

Make hiragana reading automatic and begin common katakana. Learn simple identity, time, place, and daily-action sentences. Read every example aloud so written form and sound develop together.

02

Weeks 3–4: particles and core words

Practice は, が, を, に, and で inside complete sentences. Build vocabulary around your day: numbers, time, food, transport, people, and routine actions.

03

Weeks 5–6: short input

Read notices and short passages written with basic vocabulary and kanji. Listen to slow, short conversations and identify who, where, when, and what happens.

04

Weeks 7–8: test-shaped review

Try official sample items under light time limits. Label each error: unknown word, grammar, reading speed, or missed sound. Review that reason, then answer a similar item. This plan is an editorial study model, not an official JLPT course or guarantee.
